All competitions and festivals of the production center ‘Impresa’ regulation

INTENTION AND OBJECTIVES OF CONTEST
It is a great opportunity express themselves on a scene, win sympathy of the audience, get a mark from specialists, tie creative contacts and have a wonderful rest.
Participants: soloists and groups ranging in age from 4 to 35 years.
Genre: vocal, choreography, circus arts, theater, fashion theater, instrumental music.

1.VOCAL CONTEST
Participants: soloists, duets, trios, collectives, family ensembles.
Nominations: pop, folk, classical, bard song, jazz, pop – rock, (participants can apply one or more nominations).
Age categories: up to 6 years, 7-9 years; 10-13 years; 14-17 years; 18-35 years.
Duration: up to 3:00 minutes.
Participants can apply one or more nominations.
All vocalists sing a “live” with a sound background “-1” or a musical instrument (synthesizer or other), and a cappella.
Evaluation criteria: purity of intonation and quality of sound, performing skills, correspondence of repertoire to performing abilities and age category of performer, stage culture.

  1. CHOREOGRAPHY CONTEST
    Participants: soloists, duets, trios, collectives.
    Nominations: variety choreography (disco, classical jazz, etc.), folk dance, stylization of folk dance, ballroom dance, classical choreography, non classic choreography, sports choreography, dance show, street dance (Hip-Hop, Break-Dance, House, etc.), modern dance (jazz-modern, modern, neo-folk, etc.).
    Age categories: up to 6 years, 7-9 years; 10-13 years; 14-17 years; 18-35 years
    Duration: up to 3:00 minutes.
    Evaluation criteria: plasticity, synchronism of movements, artistry, correspondence of the repertoire to performing abilities and age category of the performer.
    Participants apply one or more nominations.
  2. CONTEST CIRCUS ART
    Participants: children and youth circus studios and educational institutions.
    Nominations: acrobatics, clownery, gymnastics (sports number), rubber, balancing, juggling, show with an object, illusion.
    Age categories: 7-9 years; 10-13 years; 14-17 years; 18-35 years.
    Duration: up to 3:00 minutes.
    Evaluation criteria: the level of performing skills, artistry, scenic (plastic, costume, performance culture), creative approach to the selection of repertoire, artistic design of the program (props).
  3. CONTEST THEATRE
    Participants: school theaters, children’s and youth theaters, theatrical collectives, studios and associations can take part in the competition.
    Nominations: musical theater (musical, ballet, opera), drama theater, puppet theater, plastic and pantomime theater, street theater, parody theater.
    Age categories: up to 10 years, 11 – 13 years, 14 – 17 years, from 18-35 years.
    Duration: up to 15 minutes.
    Participants can apply one or more nominations.
    Evaluation criteria: the level of performing skills, artistry, scenic, creative approach to the selection of the repertoire, the design of the program (props).
  4. CONTEST FASHION THEATER
    Participants: fashion theaters, schools and fashion studios, educational institutions, modeling agencies, as well as other associations for modeling and designing clothes, can take part in the competition.
    Age categories: up to 10 years, 11-13 years, 14-17 years, from 18-35 years.
    Duration: up to 5 minutes.
    Participants show author’s collection on a free topic.
    Participants can apply one or more nominations.
    Evaluation criteria: the idea, the integrity of the composition, the originality of the director’s decision, the imagery of the disclosure of the collection theme, entertainment, artistic performance, plastic, choreography, musical design.
  5. INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC CONTEST
    Participants: soloists, small forms (duo, trio, quartet, quintet), ensembles (up to 12 people), orchestras.
    Nominations: classical and folk music, classical music in modern processing, jazz, modern music.
    Instruments: strings, keyboards, plucked, brass, percussion, folk, stringed instruments.
    Age categories: 7-9 years, 10-13 years, 14-17 years, 18-35 years.
    Duration: soloists-up to 3 minutes; duets, trios, ensembles-up to 4 minutes; orchestras-up to 10 minutes
    Participants can apply one or more nominations.
    The age group of the ensembles is determined by the average age of the participants.
    The performance of teachers in the orchestra is allowed, but no more than 15% of the total number of participants. It is not allowed to exceed the running time of the program. Orchestra of 13 people – allowed the performance of teachers in the orchestra, but not more than 15% of the total participants.
    Evaluation criteria: degree of possession of the instrument, purity of intonation, possession of a dynamic palette of sound, artistry, artistic interpretation of a musical work.
  6. OUT-OF-COMPETITION PROGRAM
    Participants: contestants.
    Nominations: Any of the nominations.
    When submitting an application to an out-of-competition program, in the questionnaire in the section “nomination” designate “participation out-of-competition”.

JURY
Producers, teachers of specialized educational institutions, heads of creative collectives and organizations, cultural and art figures of different countries are invited to the jury.
Professional jury is formed by genres.
The jury’s decision is final and can not be changed.
Performances of participants are evaluated on a 10 – point system.
A jury member does not evaluate the participant, in case if he is the leader or teacher of this participant.

PRIZES AND AWARDS
Certificates for participation in competitions and festivals of the production center Impresa, gifts from sponsors and organizer of the forum, audience award, prize “Amber voice”, prize for strengthening international, cultural relations, prize for the best choreography, prize for high performance, prize for artistry and entertainment.
The prize Fund is awarded and distributed by the decision of the jury and the organizing Committee.

REWARDING OF PARTICIPANTS
Places and awards are awarded to participants in each nomination and age group, based on the results of the points collected by the five members of the jury, according to the following grading scale:
Grand Prix – 50 points
1 Place – 45 – 49 points
2 Place – 40 – 44 points
3 Place – 35 – 39 points
Diploma for participation – 34 and less points
Grand Prix is awarded to the winner in each contest.
Grand Prix can be not awarded if the participants did not the highest score.
By jury decision, allows duplication of the prize places.
In case of contentious issue of jury, the organizing committee has a +1 vote.

COMPETITION CONDITIONS
For participation in the festival is necessary to send application form for participation by e-mail address, digital format of declared soundtrack «-1», an artistic biography, a photo (1,2) in JPG format, link to the video with participant performance, pay a registration fee of 30% of the selected package immediately upon receipt of participation confirmation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Technical requirements (microphones, racks, props) must be agreed with the organizers before submitting an application.
In performance is allowed up to 30% younger or older age
The exact schedule of events can be obtained at the organizing committee 4 days before the contest.
Providing application on Contest it constitutes acceptance with current regulation.

COPYRIGHTS
Applying a form and participating in a competition, performers agree to photos, videos and audio records their performances on scene and others competition events and pass all rights to the organizer of the festival.

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
Costs associated with travel, health insurance and stay in Latvia participants are carried out at their own expense or at the expense of the organization sending the participant to the contest. The Organizing Committee for foreign participants draws up an invitation for free visas to Latvia, hotel booking, transfers and tours around Riga.
